6th Grade Sexuality Retreat

Well, I must say the retreat was a lot of fun! Those who helped from class did an awesome job! So, Chris, Lindsey, Brittany, Liz, Nate and Carolyn, congratualtions on a job well done! I look forward to hearing from you in class on Monday and talking with you in more detail on Monday as well.

Possible Questions on Mid-Term

Here are the possible questions for the mid-term in case you lost your paper or were not in class to get them.

-Why is the quest for the answer usually more important than the answer itself?

-What are Theory, Action and Reflection? How do they interact with the “Learning Loop of Depth (Death)”?

-What are dynamics? How do they relate to both models discussed in class (Theory, Action and Reflection and the “Learning Loop of Depth”)?

-How is the Bible used in ministry? What are different ways in which to teach the Bible? What methods did Jesus use to teach people?

-What are things that leaders must do and think about before a trip happens?

-What are advantages and dis-advantages to using a campground that provides everything for you?

Good News, No Posting This Week

Due to the Mid-Term, there is not posting this week.

Just a reminder, the mid-term will be an in-class test. Someone asked if I could put all the questions and have you choose which ones you wanted to answer...

Although a great idea for you, not so much to have a truly comprehensive review. You would study only the questions you wanted to answer and not get the full benefit.

So, there will be at least 3 and maybe 4 questions for you to answer. We will start promptly at 6:30 pm. I will provide the paper for you to write on.

So, study hard and if you have any questions, you can either post them here, email me, call or test me.

Tonight, we are meeting in the same room. I have made a call and hopefully will get it switched, but not for tonight. So, I won't have pizza tonight due to our complaints last week. So, bring food if you wish (but at your own risk!!!!!).
